At XBTO, we operate under several licensed entities to provide a range of services while maintaining compliance with global regulations. These entities are all part of the XBTO structure.

Why Do We Use Different Entities?

The use of separate entities allows XBTO to:

  • Ensure Compliance: Each entity holds specific licenses required to operate within its jurisdiction and offer specialized services.
  • Provide Tailored Services: Different entities focus on distinct areas such as trading, custody, fund management, and tokenized investments, ensuring expertise and precision.

Overview of Our Entities and Licenses

  1. XCOF Funds
    • XBTO Crypto Opportunities Fund SAC Ltd. ("XCOF"): A "Professional Class B" fund registered under Bermuda law.
    • XBTO International Ltd. (“XBTOI”): Acts as the investment manager of XCOF. XBTOI holds the following registration / license issued by the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) as:
      • Registered as a Class B Registered Person under the Investment Business Act 2003, and is permitted to deal in investments, arrange deals in investments, give or offer investment advice and promote investments to the public.
      • Licensed as a digital asset service vendor (F license) under the Digital Asset Business Act 2018.
  2. Trading and Custody + OTC
    • Stablehouse Ltd.: Operates as a cryptocurrency exchange and provides segregated custody. Licensed by the BMA (M license) to:
      • Operate as a payment service provider for digital assets.
      • Provide custodial wallet services.
      • Operate a digital asset exchange.
      • Act as a digital asset services vendor.

  3. Tokenized Investments
    • XBTO International Ltd.: Oversees XBTO’s asset management services, registered by the BMA as a Class B Registered Person under the Investment Business Act 2003, and is permitted to deal in investments, arrange deals in investments, give or offer investment advice and promote investments to the public.
